Reclaim and Regain the Wealth, Sovereignty and Dignity of the Filipino People and Nation: A Vision of Genuine Change for Filipinos We dedicate ourselves to a Philippine society made prosperous, progressive and pro-environment by the genuine industrialization and sovereignty of the Filipino nation and people, and by the equitable empowerment and socially just liberation from poverty of the Filipino especially of the poor and disempowered. We commit ourselves to a genuine people’s nationalism: a Philippines principally for Filipinos and a Philippines controlled by Filipinos, a pro-Filipino society enjoyed by the majority, not just a few local partners of foreign big business. In short, a Philippines for the Filipinos. We are not mere reformers, or agents of reforms that merely perpetuate the “free trade” system led by foreign capitalists only to favor a new set of Filipino cronies.. We are innovators for social justice and advocates of economic policies that benefit the majority instead of a economic and political oligarchy. We pledge to fight to realize the goals of the following New Vision for the Filipino Nation: 1....Read more

WHAT DOES BROTHER EDDIE C. VILLANUEVA STAND FOR? The Bagong Pilipinas, Bagong Pilipino Movement Platform OUR VISION AND OUR HOPE We are Filipinos who believe in God and in the Philippines, that it is capable of transforming itself into a productive, prosperous and respectable nation. We stand for good governance, and good governance can be achieved only when like-minded Filipinos bind themselves together and provide a moral force to bring this about. We support a Filipino economy that is built on a highly-educated, creative and productive citizenry; one that is driven by sustainable growth for at least 100 years and beyond with optimum investment in infrastructure as well as in modern technology for agriculture, industry and services; one that aims to strengthen and depend on domestic demand while completely taking advantage of what the rest of the world can offer; and one where families can enjoy to the fullest the fruits of their labor right in their own land. We aspire for a Filipino society that promotes justice for all regardless of their status in life; one where all Filipinos can live in peace and harmony;...Read more

PLATFORM OF JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA

Vision:

A democracy that is truly pro-poor. A country with peace and order. A government of transparency and accountability. Economic Agenda

REVIVING THE ECONOMY

Steady economic growth that is felt by the masses. GNP growth is meaningless if poverty and hunger levels and other measures of quality of life remain poor. An Estrada Administration will increase growth while also increasing the country’s human development index. This will be achieved by strengthening the country’s domestic economy, specifically in the field of agriculture, instead of relying on overseas remittances to increase GNP; and by ensuring that the bulk of the budget goes to services that trickle down to the poor, such as social services and education, instead of to debt servicing or overpriced infrastructure projects. All Out War against Poverty

Senator Manny Villar’s Nacionalista Party (NP) has declared an all-out war against poverty as it launched its campaign platform for next year’s elections based on “pro-poor” and “pro-development” programs.

“We in the Nacionalista Party will fight for the poor. No single person or political party has waged a full and all-out war against poverty and sincerely fought for genuine social reform in our country. We rise up to that challenge now,” said by NP spokesman and senatorial candidate Gilbert Remulla.

An NP victory in 2010, Remulla said, would be a victory for the Filipino people, a majority of whom live below poverty line. He said Villar, the party's president and standard-bearer, has a “firmer grasp of the realities that surround a family living on empty stomach” since himself had experienced first-hand the plight of millions of Filipinos. The latest member of the NP family, People's Champ Manny Pacquiao, also came from the poor and, like Villar, has experienced what it feels like to be impoverished in this country, said Remulla. NATIONAL LEADERSHIP

The strong will to resist temptation

A good leader must be of strong character and integrity. More than anything else, he or she must embrace the true essence of public service as a calling. He should also have a clear grasp of the concept that he was elected to the Office which is an institution, and he, the one elected to that office. The ideals and obligations of the Office go beyond his personal self. As the one elected by the people, he must always be guided by what’s best for his country or constituents even if this entails great personal sacrifices on his part.

A true leader must accept the philosophy that he should serve without expecting anything in return. In the end, his strength of character and integrity would give him the will to resist temptation. This strength of character and integrity does not come with the office – these traits are nurtured through years of public service. A National Leadership in Need of Transformational Change

  • Its legitimacy is under question;
  • It persecutes those who expose the truth about its illegitimacy and corruption;
  • It stays in power by corrupting individuals and institutions;
  • It confuses the people with half-truths and outright lies;
  • It rewards, rather than punishes, wrongdoing;
  • It offers no lasting solutions for the many problems of the country;
  • It weakens the democratic institutions that hold our leaders accountable.
  • It hinders our local governments from delivering basic services;
  • It has no vision of governance beyond political survival and self- enrichment.

Comelec – Burn all ballots without seals

Burn the ballots!
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) should destroy the 1.8 million ballots that did not have the National Printing Office (NPO) security markings on them to erase lingering doubts that there is a sinister plan to undermine the May 10 polls, Rep. Teodoro Locsin Jr. said Thursday.
The Makati City congressman told reporters that the [...]
